I recently stayed at the Sandyford Hotel in Glasgow, which had its ups and downs. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city, and I found the breakfast to be among the best I've had. However, the condition of my room left much to be desired, with issues like tiny showers, uneven floors, and weak WiFi overshadowing the positive aspects of my stay.
Rooms
5.0
The room was a bit old and had some maintenance issues. The shower was tiny, and I struggled to find space for my toiletries. The uneven floors and some noise from the corridor didn't help either. I was on the fourth floor, which wasn't ideal without a lift, especially with luggage.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and available 24/7, which was great. However, the reception service during late hours felt a bit aloof and unhelpful. They did take care of my luggage when I needed it, but the overall impression could have been better.
Location
8.0
The hotel was perfectly situated, with a bus stop right outside and only a short walk to the city center. It was particularly handy for attending events at the Hydro, which I appreciated. There were also plenty of great restaurant options nearby.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of hot and cold options. I loved that it was the best B&B breakfast I've experienced in the UK. The only downside was that it ended quite early at 9:15 am, but I understood why, considering the staff's long hours.
Facilities
6.0
Although the hotel had some dated facilities, it was clean. I noticed some ongoing DIY renovations, which could be annoying at times. There were basic amenities like a vending machine and free coffee in the room, which I found convenient.

I had a pleasant stay at the Sandyford Hotel, with friendly staff and a convenient location (just a short walk to the Hydro). The rooms were clean, although some could use a bit of touch-up. Breakfast was enjoyable, but I noticed some items ran out too quickly. Overall, it was a solid choice for exploring Glasgow.

Breakfast had a good selection, and the quality was quite nice, but I wish the breakfast room was a bit more spacious since it felt cramped at times.

The hotel was well-maintained and clean, although I did notice the need for some minor DIY fixes in the bathrooms.

I had a solid stay at the Sandyford Hotel, thanks to its spacious and clean rooms, comfy beds, and friendly staff. However, the lack of a lift made things a bit tricky since my room was on the top floor. While breakfast had some delicious choices, a few items could be improved. Overall, it's a solid option in a great location, especially for anyone looking to explore Glasgow.

I had a mixed experience at Sandyford Hotel during my stay. The location was fantastic for attending a concert at the SSE Hydro, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, I found the hotel quite dated and in need of some TLC, which made my stay less comfortable than I had hoped.
Rooms
6.0
My room was clean and spacious, but it could definitely use a refresh. The decor felt outdated, and the carpeting had seen better days. Nonetheless, the bed was comfortable, which made for a decent night's sleep.
Service

The staff were super nice and accommodating. They helped with directions and were very friendly throughout my stay. However, I did experience a mix-up at check-in that caused some frustration initially.

My recent stay at the Sandyford Hotel had its ups and downs. While the location is fantastic and the staff were incredibly friendly, there were some issues that affected my overall experience, especially regarding the comfort of the room. The breakfast had potential but lacked in variety and availability. Overall, I'd say it's a solid option, but there’s room for improvement.

The room I had was clean and cozy, though it felt a bit cramped. I loved the warmth and cleanliness but noticed the floor had a slight slope, likely due to the building's age.

The hotel misses a lift, which might be difficult for guests on the upper floors. However, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, making it a welcoming place.
